National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 12,329.55 after gaining 72.75 points

The stock market closed on the green mark after trading for the day on the first trading day of the week i.e. Monday. The Bombay Stock Exchange's flagship index Sensex closed at the level of 41,859.69 after gaining 259.97 points, or 0.62 per cent. On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 12,329.55 after gaining 72.75 points, or 0.59 per cent. Meanwhile, Infosys shares are seeing a strong growth.



Such was the situation of veteran shares

Talking about the big stocks, the shares of Infosys, IndusInd Bank, Coal India, GAIL, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, Britannia, Tata Steel, M&M and Power Grid closed on the green mark on Monday. The shares of Infratel, UPL, TCS, Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports, Reliance, SBI and Axis Bank closed at the red mark.

Infosys shares rise strongly
The country's second largest information technology (IT) company, Infosys, saw an increase in shares. After opening at the level of 760, it rose by 34.35 points i.e. 4.65 percent and reached the level of 772.50. Whereas it closed at the level of 738.15 on the previous trading day. On Friday, Infosys released the results for the quarter ended December 2019, due to which it is seeing an increase. During this period, the company reported a consolidated profit of Rs 4,466 crore, up 23.7 percent. At the same time a year ago, the company had a profit of Rs 3,610 crore in the same quarter. The company's revenue grew 7.9 per cent to Rs 23,092 crore for the October-December, 2019 quarter, compared to Rs 21,400 crore in the same period last year.

Yes Bank on the verge of closure, the stock rolled
Yes Bank, the country's fifth major private bank, is on the verge of closure. If it is not announced to be discontinued, then problems may arise in the future for millions of customers. Now the Reserve Bank of India will have to take a quick decision about this so that the deposits of small investors can be saved from sinking. The bank has only till March, in which it has to take a decision. On Monday, Yes Bank shares closed at the level of 42.15, down 2.60 points or 5.81 per cent. While it opened at 43.40 level in early trade. At the same time, it had closed at the level of 44.75 on the last trading day i.e. Friday. Subsequently, its market capitalization reached Rs 107.25 billion.

Sectoral index tracking

If we look at the sectoral index, then all the sectors closed on the green mark today. These include pharma, metals, realty, IT, private banks, PSU banks, media, FMCG and auto.
